TO CHANGE THE CURRENT METHOD OF APPEAL TO GIVE PHYSICIANS AT LEAST THE SAME RIGHTS AS A CONVICTED FELON.

TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO CALL AND/OR WRITE OUR PUBLIC OFFICIALS ON DR. O'KEEFE'S BEHALF.

GOOD NEWS FOR THE RESIDENTS OF HERKIMER COUNTY

Herkimer County becomes one of the few counties in the state to have a health director who is qualified in the medical profession! A banner day for the legislators who appointed him and for you, the citizens he looks forward to serving. Since October 2002, Dr. O'Keefe has served well and protected the public health of Herkimer County.

THE STATE OF MAINE BOARD OF LICENSE IN MEDICINE met May 23, 2003 with a Board of 7 Board Certified Physicians, 2 lay persons, & the Maine Attorney General, in a public 5 hour session, in which Dr. O'Keefe's fitness & competence to have a medical license was judged. Close attention to the NY cases & proceedings showed no reason for Maine to perpetuate the wrongful NY decisions. The Maine Board unanimously awarded Dr. O'Keefe a Medical License in the State of Maine. Dr. O'Keefe is pleased and hopeful with this decision, which did not agree in any way with New York. However, Dr. O'Keefe lives HERE, in Herkimer County, and wants to serve you, his patients, as he has done so well in the past.
